Operational status

TripSake is currently in a non-commercial testing and development phase. There is no entitlement to availability, freedom from errors, or permanent storage of content. See our Terms of Use for details.

Reporting illegal content (Art. 16 DSA)

TripSake hosts content that users create themselves — photos, notes, place descriptions and imported links. If you believe that specific content on TripSake is illegal, you can notify us at any time by email to info@tripsake.app. To let us act quickly, please include:

• a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you consider the content illegal,
• the exact location of the content (a link, or the trip and the name of the item),
• your name and email address — not required for reports concerning offences under Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU,
• a statement confirming that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt without undue delay, decide in a diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner, and inform you of our decision along with the available means of redress. Because most content on TripSake is visible only to the members of a private trip, we may need to ask you for additional information in order to locate it.

Copyright complaints

If you are a rights holder and believe that content on TripSake infringes your copyright — for example a photo, or material taken from a video that a user imported — please write to info@tripsake.app with a description of the protected work, the location of the material on TripSake, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf. This address also serves as our designated contact for notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)). We remove infringing material expeditiously upon a valid notice and terminate access for repeat infringers.

Liability for content

We are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law. As a hosting provider we are not obliged to monitor content that users transmit or store (§§ 7–10 DDG, Art. 6 DSA); we become liable for such content only once we obtain actual knowledge of an infringement. Upon becoming aware of a legal violation, we remove the content in question without delay.

Liability for links

Our service contains links to external third-party websites (for example Google Maps, or social media content that users import) over whose content we have no control. The respective provider is always responsible for such external content. We checked linked pages for legal violations when the link was created; permanent monitoring is not reasonable without concrete indications of an infringement.

Dispute resolution

We are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body and do not do so voluntarily, as TripSake is provided free of charge and non-commercially. You can, of course, always reach us directly at the address above.
