From a template to a trip
- Create the trip and set the dates.
- Paste the place names out of your Notion table. Most of them resolve in one go, with hours and photos attached.
- Drop in the saved reels and TikToks that never made it into the table.
- Send the invite link instead of adding four people as Notion guests.
- Keep the Notion page for the notes and the reading list if you want it. Nothing here replaces that.
A Notion travel template is a very pretty empty container. If you enjoy filling it, keep it. If what you want is the finished plan without three evenings of data entry, use something that already knows what a restaurant is.

Is Notion good for planning a trip?
It is good at holding a trip you have already researched. It is poor at doing the research, because every address, opening time and price has to be typed in by a person, and it has no routing.
What is a free alternative to a Notion travel template?
